“Smart & Green Energy Maritime Korea 2022” was held over three days at the Changwon Exhibition Convention Center from Dec. 5 (Mon) to 7 (Wed).
This biennial exhibition, which debuted in 2006, was held with the aim of gathering information on prior market occupation to strengthen the future of the shipbuilding industry and to establish a sales network hub under the theme of “Eco-friendly Energy and Smart Ships”. It also provided an occasion for new market openings for shipbuilding equipment and technical information exchanges. This industrial exhibition was co-hosted by Changwon, Tongyeong, Gimhae and Geoje Cities and Haman, Goseong and Hadong Counties, and was sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and jointly organized by the Geyongnam Techno Park and the Gyeongnam Marine Equipment Association. In addition to the exhibition itself, the event included technology exchanges between shipyards and equipment companies, purchasing consultations, panel discussions with the Korean shipbuilding industry’s highest-level officers, export consultations, and conferences, especially the Smart Green Energy Maritime Conference where future technology changes affecting low- or zero-carbon fuel-powered ships and market forecast were discussed.
DongHwa Entec participated in this exhibition with Korea’s three large shipbuilders, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Hyundai Heavy Industries. K Shipbuilding, Samkang M&T, HSG Sungdong Shipbuilding and numerous other shipbuilding equipment companies also participated. The company shared its future vision, including a concrete roadmap for carbon reduction technology innovation and the eco-friendly ocean energy sector’s ammonia technology and product development. The company promoted its technology and products, including its H2 Pre-Cooler, which has shown tangible results with a 70~80% market share in the Korean hydrogen energy application area, and its LNG Vaporizer, which has been selected as a world first-class and eco-friendly Eco care U1 product with the advantage of saving cost, time, and space.
also introduced its affiliate’s, DongHwa Pneutec, compressors and N2 Generator. A shipment of 100 units of DongHwa Pneutec’s BOG compressors is scheduled for the end of this year.
DongHwa Entec offers unwavering competiveness in its lineup of products, from shipbuilding, onshore plants and cryogenic (LNG) heat exchangers to FGSS and BOG reliquefaction equipment. It further demonstrated its competitiveness in eco-friendly technology, including hydrogen and ammonia, in synch with business paradigm changes and market situations. In the many exhibitions where the company has participated in 2022, it has tried to present a direction for the shipbuilding industry to move forward in the future.

They will participate in many exhibitions in 2023 as well and secure increased competitiveness in new market openings, export and technology development, based on an organic collaboration system between the two.
