Donghwa Pneutec recently won the BOG compressors supply contract for a project remodeling two 125K LNG ships into two FSRU ships from a European shipping company.
Donghwa Pneutec supplied BOG compressors to similar types of ships last year, and its excellent quality and performance were acknowledged from the ship owner and won this project.
The company is also performing meetings for technology to win additional projects from the same ship owner.
The BOG compressors for FSRU to be supplied this time are 360-kw and the company plans to supply them in the first half and second half of this year.
Donghwa Pneutec won the contracts to supply BOG compressors applied to various types of ships including the FRU, 26K FSRU, 125k FSRU, 14,700-teu Container, and 110K COT.
Praise was given by ship owners on the products currently in operation.
The BOG compressors supplied so far are screw types, and they are Donghwa Pneutec’s localized products made with its own technology in all processes from design and manufacture to test operations.
Based on the track record of the supply, many inquiries are received from ship owners and shipbuilders planning to build new LNG fueled ships.
The company is flooded with inquiries for technology meetings from Chinese and Japanese shipbuilders and ship owners, as well as Korean shipbuilders and ship owners.
Donghwa Pneutec is carrying out test operations by completing the development of an oil free cryogenic piston type compressor in addition to the screw type BOG compressor, and the product is scheduled to be supplied to a design company after this contract and within this year.
Donghwa Pneutec can supply the screw type and oil free cryogenic piston BOG compressor applied to small and medium LNG ships, FRU, FSUR, and LNG-fueled ships by completing the localization of them.
The company can supply those to any types of ships.
The quality and performance are acknowledged as superior from the ship owners and shipbuilders, compared to foreign competitors.
