The fuel switch is a piece of equipment performing a bunker change process through the auto control system.
A recent shipbuilding trend is pursuing the convenience of intelligent ships and the convenience of crew members, and the safety of the ship’s systems is also becoming important.
Donghwa Entec’s fuel switch reduces the risk of engine damage by controlling the temperature change (2℃/min) caused by the bunker change process between HFO at a high temperature and the MGO/MDO at room temperature. It also seeks the convenience of the ship’s crews through auto control, instead of the manual control of the valve by the crew members in the bunker change process.
As a remote system through HMI (ECR and Local) is established, control is possible in line with crew’s requirements at any circumstances, and the system is implemented to monitor bunker change process in real time. In particular, the comprehensive control is an advantage enabling all bunker change processes to be performed at a time in linkage with the MGO cooling unit.
